My Lemon Cheesecake Recipe ...

Hey Guys ...

Here's a quick and easy Cheesecake recipe that I would like to share with you guys. I really love to cook and bake, so I really enjoyed making this. And it didn't really take me that long either which is a bonus. Just a little warning, this cheesecake is not for the faint hearted, and is also not the most healthiest either. Purchasing the ingredients was also very inexpensive. So if your on a budget, but still want to have a tasty desert for a dinner party, or just something to sit down and munch on whilst watching a film, then this is the desert for you...

I have adapted the recipe that I was following slightly, to make it more accustomed to the flavouring and way that I like my cheesecakes to taste...

Biscuit Base...

  • 30 digestive biscuits
  • 160g butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp clear honey

Lemon Mascarpone Filling...

  • 750g mascarpone cheese
  • 3 lemon, juice and zest
  • 200g/7oz caster sugar, plus more to taste
  • 4 tbsp icing sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon flavouring

Method...

  1. Brush the bottom of a 23cm/9in springform cake tin with some of the melted butter and place a round of greaseproof paper in the base.
  2. Crush the biscuits and tip them into a bowl, add the melted butter and honey and stir until well combined.
  3. Tip the mixture into the bottom of the cake tin. Using the back of a spoon, gently push the crumbs from the centre outward, until smooth and level. This will form the base of the cheesecake. Chill in the fridge while making the filling.
  4. For the filling, mix the mascarpone cheese, lemon juice and zest and caster sugar together in a bowl until well combined. Do not mix the mixture too much as this will cause it to split. Taste the mixture and add more sugar, to taste.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the tin on top of the chilled biscuit mixture and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  6. When ready to serve, either run a hot cloth or blowtorch round the outside of the tin and ease out the cheesecake.

My Top Favourite Dark Lipsticks...

Hey Guys...

So I wanted to share with you guys a trend that I loved a couple of autumns ago, Matte Dark Lipstick Trend ... I really loved this trend when it came around as I have quite a dark skin complexion so bright lip colours don't quite suit me, or maybe I just don't have the confidence to rock them. I personally think that dark lips can be worn all year round, and not just in the autumn/winter seasons, so I have decided that I'm going to transition them into spring and also through to the summer as well. Some may say that spring/summer is the time for the light pinks, corals, nudes... But I personally think that all colours can be worn at any time, we just have to make them work for us, and work out different ways to wear them. Deep reds, dark purples, burgundy, these colours can bring an outfit together without making it look as if you've made much of an effort at all. So I would like to show you guys my top three dark lipsticks that I really love to wear.

Here are my top 3 dark lipsticks that I've loved recently.
All of these lipsticks can be purchased at Superdrug
The colours and brands will be listing them from left to right

MUA Matte Lipstick- Wild Berry
Rimmel London (Kate Moss collection)- Rossetto 107
MUA- Shade 3

Here are some swatches of the lipsticks

We don't always have to follow the trends that are in season. Trends have been put in place to inspire as well as to follow. But we can make them into what we want, and interpret then the way that we want to. Dress the trends and rock them the way that you feel comfortable, and you never know, maybe you might be inspiring someone else as well.

Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise !!! ...

Hey Guys...

All girls want to have soft, smooth, silky skin. No blemishes, no blackheads, no spots. Having the confidence to walk out of their house without having to wear any make up... However, that isn't always possible. We all have different skin types and problem areas. Some people have acne scars, large pores, amongst other things. I am a girl who suffers from large pores and black heads around my nose, some scaring from spots that I had in the past and an uneven skin tone. I have recently come up with a skin care routine that works for me and has helped to reduced the size of my pores and has also got rid of most of my blackheads. I cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning and night and I also use a face scrub once a week. So far this seems to be working for me and my skin has looked the best that it has ever looked since hitting puberty.

These products have been working miracles for my skin lately, they do what it says on the bottle, and I have noticed a massive difference in the appearance of my skin.

This cleanser is better then any face wipe that I have ever used. It gets rid of majority of my make up at the end of the day. And in the morning along with a nice soapy face wash, it leaves my skin looking visibly brighter and more even looking.

Rose water is something that I remember my grandma and aunty's  using when I was much younger. For me this toner is really good and with the glycerine in it as well, this means that it will refresh, soften and moisturise the skin. This really works for me, and I can really feel an improvement in the way that my skin looks and feels.

I use this lotion on my face. Because of the light texture it doesn't leave my skin feeling like there is a lot of product on there. Also because I have quite an oily T-zone, I believe that this cream works well for me, as it doesn't leave my skin looking to shiny.

This eye make up remover works perfectly for me, I don't really wear waterproof eye liner or mascara, but this eye make up remover takes off all of my eye make up. You don't need to use to much, and it doesn't cause any irritation to my eyes. I absolutely hate taking off my eye make up at the end of the day, but since I've started using this, it is no longer a chore that I can't stand doing.

This scrub is also a reason why my black heads have reduces, and also for the reduction of the size of my pores around me nose. This scrub, along with exfoliating and making my skin feel a lot softer, it smells amazing. I love the smell of grapefruit and pomegranates, so this scrub is great. It smells good enough to eat!!
